Refund and cancellation policy

This policy covers paid seats in Desktopbranch tech analysis workshops, studios, labs, and clinics. It does not cover products we do not sell, such as software licenses, merchandise, or shipping.

Eligibility

Refunds apply only to fees you have already paid for a confirmed program seat or private cohort. Informal inquiries and waitlist places are not billable and therefore not refundable.

Timeframe

Request a full refund at least 10 calendar days before the program start date. Requests between 9 and 4 days before the start may receive a partial refund of 50% of the seat fee. Within 3 days of the start date, fees are generally non-refundable except where Vietnamese consumer rules require otherwise or where Desktopbranch cancels the session.

Full versus partial refunds

A full refund returns the seat fee when we cancel a program, when we cannot offer a workable alternative date, or when your written request arrives within the full-refund window above. Partial refunds apply in the mid window or when part of a multi-day cohort was delivered before cancellation.

Non-refundable items

Custom printed workbooks ordered for your cohort, venue deposits already committed for a private on-site session, and third-party facilitation costs approved in writing are non-refundable once purchased. Administrative booking fees under 200,000 VND, if listed on your confirmation, are non-refundable after confirmation.

How to request a refund

Email learn@desktopbranch.click with your full name, program title, confirmed date, and payment reference. You may also call (84-8) 3722 3530 during Monday–Friday, 9:00–12:00 and 13:30–17:30 and follow with written confirmation.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of approval. Funds return via the original transfer method when possible, or by bank transfer to an account you nominate in writing for Vietnam-based payments.

Cancellation by Desktopbranch

If we cancel a public seat program, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to a later date at no extra seat fee. If we cancel a private cohort for reasons within our control, deposits for undelivered days are refunded.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule once to another published date of the same program without fee when notice arrives at least 7 days before the original start. Later reschedules may be treated as a cancellation under the windows above.

Deposits

Private cohorts may require a deposit to hold dates. Deposits become non-refundable once we have reserved rooms or instructors for those dates, unless we cancel. Remaining balances follow the same refund windows as seat fees.

No-shows

Failure to attend without prior written notice is a no-show. No-show seats are not refunded. Materials prepared for the session remain available digitally when already produced for your cohort.

Work already started

If a multi-day studio has begun and you withdraw, fees for completed days are earned. Unused future days may be refunded on a pro-rata basis when notice is given before those days begin, subject to the non-refundable items above.

Purchased materials

Digital templates delivered before a session remain yours to keep and are not returnable. Physical materials already printed for a named participant are non-refundable once printing has started.

Exceptions

Serious illness, bereavement, or government travel restrictions may allow goodwill transfers or refunds outside the standard windows at our discretion, with supporting documentation when reasonable.
